Which ages do you serve?

Ages 7–21 across five programs: Whimsical Wonder and Wishes (7–13), B.E.E. Girls (13–16), B.E.E. Girls F.L.Y. (16–21), plus Violence Prevention & Intensive Mentoring and the WOW Bus.

Can you serve multiple cohorts?

Yes. Multiple cohorts may operate within one school as the partnership deepens.

Does programming occur during school?

Both. We run in-school cohorts during the school day and after-school cohorts, depending on your site's needs.

What space is required?

A consistent, private and appropriate meeting space — the same room each session wherever possible.

How are participants selected?

Together. We support recruitment and forms; you know your students.

What are the costs or funding options?

Your blueprint flags this: internal materials list partnership pricing and also describe no-cost school expectations. The site must clearly distinguish grant-funded, sponsored and fee-for-service arrangements.

How does FFM handle safety, consent and referrals?

All roles involving direct youth contact require application, background check, mandated-reporter training, child-protection training and ongoing supervision.

What data does the school receive?

Attendance and participation tracking, pre/post assessment results, and an end-of-cycle reflection and outcome summary.

Founded in Chicago in 2017, Focus Fairies serves girls and young women ages 7–21 through school-based cohorts, community programming, individualized mentoring, justice-system-connected services, workforce pathways and mobile outreach. The organization is rooted in the belief that girls should not have to overcome trauma alone in order to succeed.

F.L.Y. is intentionally small. Each cohort brings together young women who came up through Focus Fairies with young women joining us from the community for the first time — because leadership is learned in both directions.
